Holistic Massage
Holistic massage seeks to positively affect the overall balance of the person physically, emotionally and spiritually.

The initial consultation process for a holistic massage is more involved than in any other of the massage options generally speaking. The massage therapist uses an involved questionnaire to assemble as much information as possible from the client about their health overall, considering the client as a complete person mind, body and spirit, not just physical body. Questions on the intake form may include a request for information on food, drink, hydration levels, workplace stress levels etc. The reason for this additional information is to try and identify the source of issues which could lie in the spiritual, mental or emotional realm yet which could be affecting the body on a physical level. If the therapist were to ask: “When have you never been well since?” a client may respond “Since my dog died.” During a holistic massage treatment this response would be incorporated into the treatment holistically and the emotional trauma from this event would be considered in applying massage techniques accordingly.
